Colleagues and clients rely on him to help organizations pivot in the right direction, move fast, and capture value.

Matt’s experience includes roles with The Coca-Cola Company, Home Depot, Nestlé, and Zep. He is exceptionally skilled in helping C-suite peers, business unit leaders, and cross-functional partners work together, creating strategy, launching new businesses, or reversing declining performance. His advice and guidance help leaders achieve revenue growth, margin improvement, and growth of EBITDA, whether from a new strategic direction, operational improvements or by reaping value from acquisitions.

While an executive at Zep, the company suffered from severely constrained supply chain capabilities resulting from the global pandemic. Matt recognized an opportunity to leverage the disruption to rebrand Zep and set the business on a new trajectory. He was the principal architect in developing and executing Vision 2025 leading to pivotal strategic change. As a result, Zep had record-breaking sales and EBITDA performance and divested itself of a business for an extraordinary multiple.

While at Neenah, Matt directed complex, strategic initiatives including a complete metamorphosis of the Human Resource function. He spearheaded the acquisition and integration of a complementary company helping transform the brand from a paper company to a specialty materials company and designed and implemented a comprehensive succession plan that laid the groundwork for a successful CEO transition. Prior to joining Neenah, he was integral in transforming The Coca Cola Company’s North American business and realizing its “system of the future” vision. He was instrumental in the multibillion-dollar acquisition and integration of Coca-Cola Enterprises which delivered $400M in synergies.

While at Home Depot, Matt worked closely with the president and leadership team in creating one of the fastest dotcom growth stories of the time. At Nestle, he contributed expertise to strategic acquisitions, sales force realignment, and compensation program planning.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management from Auburn University. He is a Board member of Human Resource Leadership Forum of Atlanta and previously served as Board Chair of a private school in the Atlanta area.    His interests include golf, youth sports and anything on or near the water.  Matt and his wife Jodi live in Miramar Beach FL with their two children and their two miniature Schnauzers.
